No matter what others say: Slenderman IS a Creepypasta.
The reasons:
1. As every fan knows, a Creepypasta is a horror story that is shared on the internet. But, if you look, Creepypasta (the word) is not a registered name! It doesn't have an owner! Even some monsters have been accepted as Creepypastas because the public liked them and accepted them as such. So...
2. I already know the whole story behind the Slenderman (about Victor Surge and etc) on the internet. But think: Jeff the Killer, Eyeless Jack and the others didn't come in the same way? They were not random horror stories that, in 2008 (or before), have been gathered and called Creepypastas by internet users?
3. I know that "Slenderverse" is just a spin-off for the Slenderman. Marble Hornets, TribeTwelve, the Slender Game, Always Watching... what people are forgetting is that all of this exists because of Slenderman's charism and the affection that the fans feel for him. In the same way games, movies and even series can be created about Jeff, Ben or whatever and be named otherwise. I mean, Slenderman IS NOT an isolated character! He was one Creepypasta that was very successful and enabled the creation of other products, not the contrary!

slenderman is a mythological creature that originated from Germany and was made to scare children into obeying or they'll get eaten by the slenderman, course his original name was Der Grossman. he would also bad away children from the dark forest. the creepypasta is based off of this origin and people still tend to see him today.
